Jim Rutherford trade inept or idiot savant?
While the Caniac Nation awaits for some consistency, the gray skies building a storm in Raleigh rumble about trade/free agent activities before the deadline.
In the wake of the Kevyn Adams-Denis Seidenburg trade I am wondering what next??
The blue line corps will have a surplus as Kaberle and Hedican look to return soon causing defensive ice time to be at a premium. Like most Caniacs, I wouldn't have imagined at the start of the season that Seidenburg and Tanabe would be leading the team in ice time per game. But with the plague of season long injuries who could have foreseen this?? So the discussion will thunder out about who is most marketable and what do the Canes need most??
For me, I've got faith in Rutherford's ability in the open market. At a glance of history-Brind'Amour, Recchi, Weight, Williams, Whitney set a good table for our last run. So again I put it, what next? I'll keep my faith in the old Red Wing as I resist speculation and wait to see.
